Arrow of Far Seeing Eyes
This arrow resembles a true flight arrow in every way except for the feathers. They have the look and feel of real feathers, but upon closer inspection, one can see that they are actually made of very fine silver strands. If detected, the arrow will glow with a strong alteration magic.
Any class of character may use this magical item. It will allow the user to see long distances in all directions. When a particular magical word is spoken, a magical link between the user and the arrow is created. The arrow is then launched in a desired direction. When the arrow impacts its target--be it the ground, a tree, a creature or even rock--the silver feathers transform themselves into a metallic human eye.
Through this eye, the user will be able to see the surrounding area where the arrow impacted. The user need only think of the direction in which he or she would like the eye to look and it will comply. There is no limit to the distance that the user can see so long as the item stays on the original plane of existence from which it was shot. Therefore, if an "Arrow of Far Seeing Eyes" is shot into a moving target and the target leaves the area headed anywhere that is not an anti-magic or magic dead zone, the arrow will still work similarly to a scrying device. The user need only concentrate at any time on the arrow unless the object has been rendered non-functional. Only when the arrow is removed from whatever object or creature it impacted will its magic end immediately and the feathers transform back to normal.
If the arrow does not impact for some reason, the magic will not take place. Furthermore, any obstacles such as a tree, high grasses, a mountain, etc. will still block any view in that direction. This magic item may be used again indefinitely unless it is destroyed. And any successful magical means to destroy it or eliminate its magic will work with the item saving at a +2 bonus.
