Harmony frogs are a mundane enough creature, a slightly larger version of the common bullfrog that has a tendency to gather in social groups. They eat insects and small mammals — anything Diminutive or smaller that looks like a likely target. An ingested creature will take 2 points of acid damage per round in the frog’s gut. Any creature that does more than 2 hit points while inside the frog will be spit out.

The harmony frog’s special ability is to emit a hypnotic trilling that it uses whenever a likely predator comes within 30’. The frog classifies predators as any creature of Tiny to Large size that is unfamiliar or looks dangerous. Harmony frogs learn to ignore most herbivores, though they do use their ability to attempt to stun Diminutive creatures they intend to eat.

Once a possible predator is hypnotized, the frogs use their great leaps ability to flee the area. Then they hide until the threat passes. They tend to flee as a group; just as if one frog emits a hypnotic chirp, the rest will instantly join in.

Hypnotic Chirp: As a standard action, a harmony frog can chirp repeatedly in a manner that acts as the Hypnotism spell. The DC is 15 +1 for every harmony frog within 60’ that adds his or her voice to the chirping. The area affected is 30’ from every harmony frog participating in the hypnotic chirp. If the target fails their save, they are hypnotized for 6+d6 rounds. Harmony frogs are immune to the hypnotic chirp ability, as are insects, undead, constructs and anything immune to either enchantment/charm effects or illusions.

Great Leaps: As a free action, harmony frogs can grant themselves the benefits of Expeditious Retreat, doubling their base movement. The effect lasts for six rounds and can be used up to three times a day.
