Doomgrinder, the

Doomgrinder, the
AD&D Greyhawk Adventure
TSR, Inc., $11.95

Billed as a mix of Mad Max (as in Beyond Thunderdome) meets AD&D, this new Greyhawk adventure is indeed a jumbled bag. Third and last in the Lost Tombs series, Doomgrinder is an adventure built around a strange, ancient stone windmill that terrorizes the countryside. Along the way, to and from the windmill, are some fairly interesting encounters for higher level characters.

As a whole, this adventure contains a decent variety of settings and encounters for any gaming group to go through. However, as is usual in most of TSR’s series, this last module seems as though it was rushed to market. My biggest complaint is that some areas of the module don’t connect properly, almost as if parts of the adventure were left out of the final copy. Other, more minor issues that I have with this product involve various typos throughout, including some mistakes on standard monster stats. There are even a few glitches with the maps as well.

I would only recommend this module for parts of it to be used in a campaign, not the entire thing. Either that, or try to flesh out and correct the areas that need improvement.
