At first glance, the main thing that stands out on this hardcover book is its price. Many players I know have gripped about the high cost of this D&D accessory. However, I think it is well worth the cost.
This book is crammed (and I mean crammed) with 300+ pages of tightly printed material on the Forgotten Realms campaign setting: from character classes, magic of the realms, life in Faerûn, geography, a large deities section, history of the realms, and much, much more. There are various maps and drawing of high quality scattered throughout this book, which all add to the printed material. There is literally no wasted space in this accessory to speak of. Its like getting four of the old boxed sets jammed into one big book.
So for those Forgotten Realms players who dont like the high price of this accessory for 3rd Edition D&D, just shut up and pay the price. Its well worth the forty dollars for a product of such tremendous quality. Show your support of great products and buy this book!
